On Meaning, assignment due Monday, March 14, 2011

Please answer the following questions (2-3 complete sentences) on the conclusion ('Given,' 'Living as the Beloved,' and 'Epilogue' of Life of the Beloved.

1.
"Our humanity comes to its fullest bloom in giving"(Beloved, 106). What are some ways, in your life, you give?

In the world, many times, with what does happiness have to do?

On page 132, Nouwen illuminates us in terms of the world, our source, and true living. Take a look at this vision. Are we able to articulate this understanding to one another, in our own words? Please state in your own words.

Nouwen writes, "Living the spiritual life means living as one unified reality." What is the unified reality Nouwen describes. Please, in your own words, help illustrate this reality.

In the Epilogue, Nouwen asks, "Is there anything in our world that we can call 'sacred'? Is there? Share a list of "things" you consider 'sacred'.
